Consent Turns Me On (CTMO) Carnival 2024

*This event was inspired by Colorado State University's Women and Gender Advocacy*

Year Two of the CTMO Carnival was a HIT on Auraria campus! We had 18 vendors from on- and off-campus departments interact with 325 students!

Folks played games that provided information to them about consent, sex-positivity, healthy relationships, and identity. Games included “Place the IUD on the Uterus”, “Condom Relay Race”, “Dildo Ring Toss”, “STI Matching Game”, “Is This Consent? Card Game”, “Pride Flag Matching Game”, “Red Rover! Relationship Red Flag/Green Flag Game”, and more!

Be You Colorado provided free STI testing to participants, Shop at Matter sold books about sexuality and sex-positivity, and Sexploratorium came to share more about their adult sex-education classes.

Did we mention we provided folks with free temporary tattoos?

The 140 folks who chose to participate in our passport activity had the opportunity to be entered into a giveaway for one of 20 sex-positive prizes and received a CONSENT cup just for participating!

In honor of Denim Day, we hosted a Denim Day Photobooth where participants could take photos in their denim, with denim day props, using a Polaroid camera.

Folks were able to fill-up on funnel cake and popcorn as the made their way around the carnival.
